<p>Masoud &amp; Ali Contracting Company (MACC) is one of the leading, oldest and most experienced contractors in Palestine. Founded in 1984 to meet a fast-growing need for specialized contractors, MACC designs, builds and operates the water, wastewater, energy and civil infrastructure that communities across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank depend on.</p> <p>Over four decades MACC has delivered landmark projects for USAID, KfW, the World Bank, the European Union, UNICEF, UNDP, the Kuwait Fund and other leading institutions: the Southern Gaza Desalination Plant (both phases) and the Gaza City seawater RO plant as joint-venture lead, the Central Gaza and North Gaza wastewater treatment plants as joint-venture partner, multi-megawatt solar plants, reservoirs, pump stations and networks, the Sofa sanitary landfill, and roads and buildings.</p> <h3>Our capacity</h3> <ul> <li><strong>First-class classification</strong> from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in buildings, roads, water and sewage, and electromechanical works</li> <li><strong>104 full-time staff</strong> in engineering, procurement, construction, planning and cost control, HSE and QA/QC, led by engineers with decades of donor-funded project experience</li> <li><strong>An owned fleet of more than 70 major plant items</strong> (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, tippers, compactors and mobile crushing and screening plant) on 80,000 m² of yards and stores</li> <li><strong>Design-build and specialized E&amp;M procurement</strong>, from process design and equipment sourcing to testing, commissioning and trial operation</li> <li><strong>Long-term operation and maintenance</strong> of treatment plants, desalination plants and solar plants</li> <li><strong>Offices in Gaza, the West Bank and Egypt</strong>, giving secure logistics and procurement routes into Gaza</li> <li><strong>International joint ventures</strong> with partners from Germany, Italy, Greece and Turkey</li> </ul> <p>MACC has kept working through every crisis Gaza has faced.
